John Henry Faulk, Austin icon who the downtown library is named after, worked tirelessly to defend the First Amendment. Elizabeth Faulk introduced the documentary "John Henry Faulk: In His Own Words" at Zilker Hillside Theater on August 21, 2007 on his birthday. The Lounging Philosophers, Lee Leffingwell and Bill Bunch talked about the First Amendment and local issues to those who gathered at Philosophers Rock (depicting Webb, Bedichek and Dobie) beside the entrance to Barton Springs Pool before ice cream and cake and the preview of the documentary.
