Paul Sherr, Austin union organizer and labor leader, passed away in April 2008. He was well known among Austin labor activists and others working for social justice. On June 15, 2007, Paul appeared on Pam Thompson’s public access TV program Austin News Real with Thomas Bacon. Paul and Thomas discussed the role of labor in opposing the U.S. war on Iraq, and presented a film portraying the struggle of their union brothers and sisters in Iraq. This is 59-minute video of that Austin News Real program. Many in Austin will miss Paul. He played a role that will be hard to fill.
